And look at you go - this season there are silk scarves as well! I didn’t know where to begin with my choice, so this time I’ve bought the entire range..

I have displayed your wares in my store, for all the world to see and enjoy. I hope they come in and share the same love for your bags as I do. And have a smell of that leather. And a little pat if they want to.

Mac Pelican

It’s Eddie’s window! And no, you won’t know what I’m talking about as I haven’t even told you my news yet…. We had a baby 4 weeks ago - named Eddie. And what a little beauty he is! He is officially the love of my life (well I now have two), and he is the greatest little guy around. So the lovely Maddy has made him his very own window - complete with my favourite road map bunting.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again peeps, aint she just the best?! Oh yes she is.

And I promise to put up a little photo of the new man pronto.

So I ventured out to Flemington last week (along with a bazillion others) to have a little look see at the Life in Style trade fair. And well, me oh my, I was not disappointed.

Once again, they have showcased so many fabulous new and exciting aussie designers. It made me gush and sigh all over the place. I was like a proud mum.

So stay tuned peeps, there is LOTS of new gear hitting Mac Pelican shelves over the next few weeks - what fun! I’ll give you more detail as they hit the store, but in the meantime, here’s a little taste of some cute, cool and classy things to come.

It’s been a while my friends, I know. I’ve been a little busy with a new little guy in my life. But more on that later…..

In the meantime - new new new from Sunday Morning! I know, I love these guys - we all know that. These are their brand spanking new pillow cases and some super cute exercise books to boot! You’ve probably seen the owl and the elephant pillow cases in store already (still my faves), but I’m falling head over heels for this new bunny design, along with it’s friend the tree house!

And of course, you can’t forget the ever popular vintage fabric scarves - brand new designs in store also….

Here is a sneaky peak of just a couple of new styles and colours for summer. They won’t be landing in store until September, but I can assure you, the new colour range is like you’ve died and woken up inside a pastel rainbow. Or something like that.

And the most thoughtful….

New to Mac Pelican is this beautiful stationery range from the girls at ‘Write to Me’ - local Melbourne sisters who still believe in hand writing. I think the buttons are my favourite.

Maddy made these totally awesome paper flowers out of old road maps. Just while she was sitting in here…. seriously! Even with little stitching and everything. Well I never! Her talent is unstoppable I tell you!

Don’t they just make these new glass vases from Have you Met Miss Jones and Zakkaya look super cute? Chose from one, three or four in a basket!

My Mother Mabel is all about tasmanian handmade cool. Their plywood jewellery is handcut, sanded, polished, oiled, painted and glossed, and loved all in the land of Tassie. They also make ultra cool laser cut acrylic jewels too. Check them out! They are on their way across the Tasman as we speak, and landing in store very soon!

In case you’ve been sunning it up somewhere warm, and haven’t noticed, it’s cold. Yep, and it’s winter. And the two generally go together nicely in Melbourne. So we’ve added some warmth with our cosy winter window. Lots of things to make you feel a bit warmer and cosier inside. And do you love the giant rain drops. We do!
