This Saturday is the last and final day. That’s it, all over, end of story, sayonara, adios, arrivederci, goodbye!

Everything in the store is now 60% off. There’s not much left, but those little guys still sitting on the shelves are going for super low town prices! So come and take them home with you. I won’t be happy until I know everyone has gone to a nice home.

With only days to go, don’t forget Mothers Day - there’s still our beautiful hand made aprons, handbags (only a few!) and lovely jewellery, as well as bath products and the usual… You know what we’ve got by now!

And we possibly won’t open again after Easter, depending on stock levels, so get in peeps!

I never imagined writing this, but hey, never say never right?

But what a ride it’s been. A life changing ride I’d say. And that’s what it’s all about. Mac Pelican has been one of the greatest things I’ve done, and to be honest, I’m proud as punch with what we’ve achieved. But the absolute greatest thing I’ve ever done is become a mum. So off I go to be a full time mum for a while. Just me and the family. And I couldn’t be happier. As much as I’ll miss the shop and the industry enormously, I feel a teeny tiny weight lifting off my shoulders too. This is the next chapter for us.

And so, what to do with a shop full of stock - sell it all! And everything else that goes with it. And I mean everything - shelving, display cabinets, tables, crates, etc. I have to clear the decks for the new owners. The only thing not for sale is the counter (you know the lovely big glass one?) Yep, that’s staying with me I’m afraid!

Take this opportunity to do all your shopping now - we will be finishing up at the end of April (yes, this month!). Every single thing in the store will be 30% off. True! And if you are interested in any shelving, etc please get in touch.

Finally, thank you to all my lovely, loyal and super friendly customers. You have all been so wonderfully supportive and kind to me. I will miss you, but who knows, maybe I’ll be back again one day… Never say never right?!

Well, we’re in it. And you know it - the amount of customers itching for new gear to lay their hands on is craaazy! Don’t worry peeps, we’re onto it!

There is new stock slowly slowly trickling in - Nancybird has just arrived today. Yes today! Maddy is busy making it look beautiful as always, (which isn’t hard with nancybird as you all know), and then there is Elk - I can’t tell you how excited I am about Elk - so much fabulous-ness!  And Ella Sanders scarves and Made 590’s totally quirky off the wall pieces,  and a couple of little surprises and sneaky new things which I am yet to unveil.

So stay tuned, and stay patient!

Yes you I’m talking to. I know i haven’t written in a while… sure it’s been busy, sure there was Christmas, New Year, Australia Day, and now Valentines Day. Sure, maybe the last two aren’t really an excuse to be busy, but well, whatever. So I haven’t been in touch for too long, and I’m sorry ok.

My real excuse is I have had nothing decent to write on. Until now. Look look look at the new cards in Mac Pelican. Thanks to Elly Oak, and Peace, Love and Letterpress I now have no excuse.

It does, however, have a lot to do with my heart. You see I’m in love with this sparkly new product from the clever folk at Murchison Hume. We already love their cleaning products, but now, behold, their latest and greatest - Hand Cream. You asked for it, and so did I (several times!) and here it is. In our favourite Juniperberry and Australian Grapefruit. Arriving this week! The perfect mate for their already famous Hand Wash. See, love sort of is in the air. In a hand washing/moisturising kinda way.

I’ll admit a package arrived a few days later and yes I did have a little sticky beak at the envelope and the sender was little pinwheel. I came screaming into the shop to let Maddy know yes, they’re on their way to me! My beloved sunshine yellow’s!

So imagine my surprise upon opening up this gorgeous box on Christmas morning when I discovered the lovely yellow sandals in a childrens size 8, not adults. I did spend a little while on the floor I must admit, I could not stop laughing. Poor man, he had no idea what had happened as they had come already wrapped up beautifully so he hadn’t even laid eyes on them.

Thank goodness Hayley is so lovely and swapped them immediately and this is what they now look like, and I LOVE them with all my heart. Mac is not so impressed as you can see.

Yikes, where are my manners first of all, apologies - let me start again. Happy new year, and how was the christmas? Ours was fantabulous, a big 3 weeks break and I’m feeling ready to rock. Hope you had some kind of break too?

So, ok we’ve done the formalities. Good good.

Now the news - we are opening again tomorrow for 2011 - that’s monday 17th January. And we are on sale, and I mean BIG sale. The biggest in the history of Mac Pelican in fact.
