Oh Me Oh My Indeed!

You know what - I don’t even know where to start on this one. Truly, this has to be the most beautiful, amazing, inspiring artwork we’ve had at Mac Pelican. And that’s the honest truth.

Tuesday Designs is their name and these incredible artworks are their game. Sisters Taryn and Elise are the creative duo that started it all.

Dresses are meticulously pieced together from pieces of antique fabric, while birds peer from cages of embossed paper, or out of pear trees that look like clouds. Skirts hide the blackbird in the rain - each wing painstakingly pieced together after perhaps hours of sifting through piles of tiny off cuts searching for the perfect piece. Most are sourced from the remnants of vintage kimonos.

They are honestly breathtaking - the incredible detail makes me gasp.

more nephew stealing

Ladies and Gents, this afternoon our handsome model is super styling the latest looks from Melbourne, Australia.

This dapper chap is modelling the latest range of children’s beanies from Ella Sanders - also comes in red/white and pink. (We also have Ella Sanders new adult range of scarves just in time for this cold snap.)

Our model is resting his little tushie on the latest and greatest Hankey Blankey by our lovely friend Maddy at Made by Mosey.

He is also pictured balancing so cleverly and daintily, on the latest design beanbag from Cocoon Couture. Not that you can even see it, but the design is their new multi coloured elephant.

That’s about as much cuteness as I can handle in one afternoon. Even though he looks a bit unsure, he did enjoy the shoot - I promise!

boing boing….

here he comes bouncing along… the easter bunny is on his way.

ok enough of the cliche easter bunny talk. Here are the facts.

Next weekend is easter. Here are some (quite serious looking) rabbits and eggs that are not made of chocolate. A good alternative sometimes. Or you can always fill the rabbits with chocolate - example photo below! Large rabbits $24.95, Small rabbits $19.95 and paper mache eggs $7.50.

And these little chocolate eggs are on the counter for all to eat. Like I am doing as I type. And they are free. Yep free.

Happy Easter folks!
