Turning Japanese

Did you love that song ‘Turning Japanese’ by the Vapors in 1980? I surely did…

We’re not really turning Japanese at all, the new origami inspired window just reminded me of that song. And honestly, as my husband will agree, I’ll use any excuse to head on back to that era of music.

Anyway, back to the point - Maddy did this new window last week. She did. She made those giant paper cranes herself (yes!) and used her pastel magic to transform the window into this. Aint she great? Donchathink?

Happy sunny weekend lovely people out there!

Chill

So my Melbourne peeps, are you feeling the chill in the air?

We surely are in here! I need Mac dog sitting on my frosty feet. So, to celebrate (if you’re into coldness) the change of season, here are some scarves you will definitely need in coming months. Not only toasty warm, but of course, super stylish, classic and downright dreamy.

And don’t forget the little people - could you possibly resist these mini scarves and beanies - I certainly don’t think so!

We heart Sophie Milne

Our newest crush is on the lovely, and oh so talented, Sophie Milne. Sophie is a Melbourne based ceramic artist specialising in uniquely designed and entirely handcrafted ceramic work. She produces the most amazing work that is both functional, as well as beautiful to look at.

My favourite pieces have to be these ‘Powerline’ Bottles - they take such a classic shape and transfer it into a super cool urban feel bottle. The colours are earthy and delish, and just the simple shapes make me happy every time I look at them.

Very very lovely…
